Ilang paliparan sa Mindanao, hindi napinsala ng malakas na lindol – CAAP

Tiniyak ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) na walang nasirang imprastraktura sa ilang paliparan sa Mindanao.

Ito ay matapos tumama ang magnitude 6.9 na lindol sa Davao del Sur.

Ayon kay CAAP Deputy Director General for Operations Capt. Don Mendoza, nawalan lamang ng kuryente ang General Santos Airport simula 2:20 ng hapon.

Pansamantala aniyang ginagamit sa nasabing paliparan ang mga nakahandang generator set.

Batay naman sa ulat mula kay Davao Airport Manager Rex Obcena, agad nagsagawa ng ocular inspection sa Davao International Airport.

Dito nasiguro na walang nasira sa structural integrity maliban sa ilang minor damages sa ilang pader sa bahagi ng passengers terminal building partikular sa international baggage buildup area.

Dahil dito, nananatiling operational ang nasabing paliparan.

Samantala, wala namang naitalang pinsala sa mga sumusunod na paliparan:
– Zamboanga International Airport
– Laguindingan Airport
– Cotabato Airport
– Butuan Airport
– Surigao Airport
– Pagadian Airport

Naramdaman ang malakas na pagyanig sa ilang lalawigan sa Mindanao bandang 2:11 ng hapon.
