DA: Pinsala ng Bagyong #TisoyPH sa agrikultura, umabot na sa P531.6M

Pumalo na sa P531.61 milyon ang naging pinsala ng pananalasa ng Bagyong Tisoy sa sektor ng agrikultura ayon sa Department of Agriculture.

“The initial damage and losses brought by the typhoon were reported in CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) and Bicol Region amount to P531.61M,” ayon sa DA-Disaster Risk Reduction Management Operations Center.

Ayon sa DA, kabuuang 14,637 ektarya ng lupang pansakahan ang napinsala ng bagyo.

Ang production loss naman ay umabot sa 18,455 metric tons (MT) at apektado ang 39,808 magsasaka.

Pinakaapektadong mga pananim ay palay, mais at high-value crops.

Ang nalugi sa palay pa lamang ay umabot na sa P318.94 milyon.

Sa ngayon, mayroong available na 3,230 bags ng rice seed reserves ang DA-Regional Field Office CALABARZON.

Ang DA-FRO Bicol naman ay may 3,163 bags ng rice seeds, 2,632 bags ng corn seeds, at 322 kilos ng vegetable seeds na maaaring maipamigay sa mga apektadong magsasaka.

Mayroong standby fund ang DA na aabot sa P250 milyon sa ilalim ng Quick Response Fund.

Maaaring magamit ang pondo para sa pagsasaayos ng mga lugar na naapektuhan ng bagyo.
