Outdoor SEA Games events posibleng i-reschedule dahil sa banta ng bagyo

Posibleng i-reschedule ang ilang outdoor events ng 30th Southeast Asian Games dahil sa banta ng Severe Tropical Storm ‘Kammuri’.

Sa press briefing araw ng Miyerkules, sinabi ni Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President at Cavite Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino na babaguhin sa schedule sakaling makaapekto ang bagyo.

Ani Tolentino, sakaling bumuhos ang malakas na ulan at malakas ang hangin, kailangang i-reschedule ang polo events sa Miguel Romero Polo Field sa Batangas.

“Sad to say ang polo, tatlo lang ang puwedeng paglaruan. If may alam kayo (indoor facility), please say it, lipat tayo doon. Ire-reschedule lang yun, dagdag lang ng konting logistics,” ani Tolentino.

Dahil dito umaasa si Tolentino na mahina lamang ang bagyo at hindi maapektuhan ang sports venues.

Pero ayon Kay Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) Chief Operating Officer Ramon Suzara, makaapekto man ang bagyo ay hindi palalawigin ang biannual meet.

Magkakaroon anya ng konsultasyon kung kailangang baguhin ang format ng mga palaro sakaling napakalakas ng bagyo.

Ayon sa pinakahuling weather update ng PAGASA, batay weather models, magiging pa-Kanluran ang kilos ng Severe Tropical Storm ‘Kammuri’ kaya’t posibleng tumama ito sa kalupaan at mag-landfall sa Eastern Luzon.

Papalakas din ang bagyo at inaasahan pang magiging Typhoon anumang oras.
