Depot para sa MRT-7 sisimulan nang gawin

Magsisimula na ang pagtatayo sa magsisilbing depot para sa itinatayong MRT-7.

Ito ay makaraang maaprubahan ng korte ang inihaing writs of possession ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at ng concessionaire na SMC Mass Rail Transit 7, Inc. (SMRT7) para makuha ang 20 ektaryang lupain na pagtatayuan ng depot sa Quezon City.

Kahapon, Nov. 26 ay pormal na nagsimula ang pagsasaayos sa depot site.

Ang depot site ay matatagpuan sa Quirino Highway sa Barangay Lagro, Quezon City.

Binili ng DOTr ang lote sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 10752 o ang Right-of-Way Act.

Pero tumanggi ang mga may-ari sa alok ng DOTr base sa umiiral na market value dahilan para maghain ng kaso ang Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) sa korte.

Noong On November 22 at November 25 nagpalabas ng Writs of Possession ang Quezon City RTC branches 92 at 98 pabor sa DOTr at SMRT7.

Ang MRT-7 ay may habang 23-kms na mayroong 13 istasyon.

Sa sandaling maging operational na ay aabot sa 300,000 hanggang 850,000 na pasahero ang maseserbisyuhan nito kada araw.
