BI, kukuha ng 100 bagong immigration officers

Inanunsiyo ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang pagkuha ng 100 immigration officers sa mga paliparan at pantalan sa bansa.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, bahagi ito ng kanilang hakbang para palakasin ang border control at mapagbuti ang serbisyo-publiko.

“We see the lack of manpower as one of the primary impediments in delivering a more efficient government service. Through this hiring, we intend to provide faster and smoother processing in our ports,” ani Morente.

Patuloy din aniyang tatanggap ng mga bagong immigration officer ang ahensya para mga bubuksang international airport sa bansa.

Oras na matanggap, sinabi ni Morente na dadaan ang officer sa dalawang buwang pagsasanay sa ilalim ng Center for Training ang Research ng BI bago italaga.

“They will be housed at the the Philippine Immigration Academy in Clark, Pampanga where they will undergo a two-month training on immigration laws and procedures. After which, they will be assigned in different BI offices as on-the-job trainees,” dagdag pa ni Morente.

Dapat din aniyang pumasa ang matatanggap na officer sa eksaminasyon bago italaga.

Matatandaang noong nakaraang apat na buwan, nakapag-deploy ang BI ng 67 na bagong immigration officer sa mga paliparan at pantalan sa bansa.
