Gun ban ipatutupad sa ilang rehiyon simula Miyerkules, November 20

Magpapatupad ng gun ban ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa ilang rehiyon simula sa Miyerkules (November 20).

Ito ay bilang bahagi ng security measures para sa 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) na gaganapin sa bansa at magsisimula na sa November 30.

Sa memorandum ni PNP oficer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa na ibinahagi sa media araw ng Linggo, suspendido ang permit to carry firearms sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

– National Capital Region
– La Union
– Central Luzon
– CALABARZON

Tanging ang mga pulis, sundalo, at iba pang miyembro ng law enforecement agencies na may official duty ang papagayagang magdala ng baril.

Papayagan ding magdala ng firearms ang mga kalahok sa shooting competition ng SEA Games.

Una nang sinabi ng PNP na kabuuang 27,440 pulis ang ipakakalat para tiyakin ang seguridad sa SEA Games.

Idaraos sa biannual athletic competition ang 56 sporting events.

Kabilang sa sports venues ang Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Athletics Stadium and Aquatic Center sa New Clark City at Manila Polo.
