Pacquiao, MPBL kinasuhan ng game fixing ang players at team officials ng SOCCKSARGEN

Dalawamput-isang katao, kabilang ang 11 players mula sa SOCCKSARGEN ang sinampahan ng reklamong game fixing.

Ito ay kaugnay ng pagkatalo ng mga players at team executives sa lahat ng mga laro sa Lakan Season.

Ayon kay Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) founder Sen. Manny Pacquiao, ang hakbang bilang pagsawata sa mga indibidwal na sangkot sa game fixing o pagbebenta ng laro.

Kasama sa asunto sa Department of Justice (DOJ) ang tatlong Chinese nationals, team managers ng dalawang MPBL teams at head coach ng SOCCKSARGEN team.

May kinalaman ang kaso sa paglabag sa Presidential Decree 483 na nagpaparusa sa pagsusugal, game fixing at point shaving sa sport contests.

Sa press conference sa DOJ matapos maisampa ang kaso, sinabi ni Pacquiao na magsisilbi itong babala sa mga taong patuloy na nag-ooperate ng game fixing sa MPBL.

“This should serve as a serious reminder to all other teams in the MPBL that we are intolerant to any form of cheating and other unsportsmanlike behavior. We formed the MPBL precisely to promote fair play in basketball so I don’t want to hear anything that would besmirch the name of the league,” pahayag ng senador.

Ayon kay Pacquiao, isang Chinese national na si “Mr. Sung” ang utak ng game fixing kasama ang dalawang katao na nakilala sa mga alyas na Kein at Emma.
