Tinalo ng Filipino-American Chess master na si Wesley So ang world champion na si Magnus Carlsen sa World Fisher Random Chess Championship na ginanap sa Henie Onstad Art Center sa Norway.

Hindi na pinaporma ng Filipino-American ang kalaban nang tapusin ang tatlong araw na serye ng laban.

Naging representative muna ng Pilipinas si So na tubong Cavite bago lumipat sa Amerika noong taong 2014.

Sasabak naman si So sa Grand Chess Tour na gaganapin sa Bucharest kung saan lalaban din si number 2 world champion Fabiano Caruana.
