Maynilad at Manila Water magpapatupad muli ng rotational water service interruption
Dapat muling maghanda ang mga customers ng Maynilad at Manila Water bunsod ng pagbabalik ng rotational service interruptions simula araw ng Huwebes.
Parehong nag-anunsyo ang dalawang Metro Manila water concessionaires ng daily service interruptions dahil sa patuloy na pagbaba ng lebel ng tubig sa Angat Dam.
Bahagi ang service interruption ng isinasagawang supply management efforts para mapagkasya hanggang sa susunod na summer ang tubig sakaling hindi maabot ng Angat Dam ang 212 meter-level sa pagtatapos ng 2019.
“This may be necessary because we want to ensure that the still-limited raw water supply will last through summer and the rest of next year despite Angat Dam being unable to reach its ideal 212-meter level by the end of 2019,” ayon sa Manila Water.
Alas-6:00 ng Martes, nasa 186.46 ang antas ng tubig sa dam, mataas lamang nang kaunti sa normal operating level na 180 meters.
Ayon sa abiso ng Maynilad, apektado ng daily service interruptions ang Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Maynila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon City, Valenzuela, mga bayan at lungsod ng Bacoor, Kawit, Imus, Noveleta at Rosario sa Cavite at Meycauayan sa Bulacan.
Sakaling may sapat na tubig na pumasok sa treatment facilities ng Maynilad, posibleng mapaikli o makansela ang schedule water service interruption.
“If enough volume of raw water enters our treatment facilities, we can shorten or even postpone the scheduled service interruption. However, if the volume of raw water is not enough, then the service interruptions will happen as scheduled,” ayon sa Maynilad.
Batay naman sa abiso ng Manila Water, ang mga apektadong lugar ay: Makati, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Maynila, Parañaque, Pasig, Pateros, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig at mga bayan at lungsod ng Angono, Antipolo, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Jalajala Rodriguez, San Mateo, Taytay, at Teresa sa Rizal.
