Palasyo, binati ang pagkakasungkit ni Nesthy Petecio ng gintong medalya sa World Boxing Championship
Binati ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang si Nesthy Petecio sa pagkakapanalo sa 2019 Aiba Women’s World Boxing Championship.
Naiuwi ni Petecio ang gintong medalya matapos matalo ang kalaban na Russian boxer na si Liudmila Vorontsova sa idinaos na boxing tournament sa Ulan-Ude, Russia.
Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo na nakikiisa ang sambayanang Filipino sa tagumpay ni Petecio.
Umaasa naman aniya sila na mas pagbubutihin pa ni Petecio sa Southeast Asian Games na gaganapin sa buwan ng Nobyembre.
Nagwagi si Petecio kontra kay Vorontsova via split decision.
Maliban kay Petecio, nag-uwi rin ng gintong medalya ang Filipino gymnast na si Carlos Yulo sa 49th FIG Artists Gymnastics World Championship sa Stuttgart, Germany.
