Meat processing plant ipinasara sa Pasig City dahil sa kawalan ng sewerage treatment plant
Ipinasara ni Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto ang isang meaat prpcessing plant sa lungsod matapos matuklasang wala itong sariling wastewater facility.
Iniutos ni Sotto ang agad na pagpapatigil sa operasyon ng meat processing plant sa Brgy. Bagong Ilog dahil ang waste water nito ay nagdadala ng polusyon sa Ilog Pasig.
Ani Sotto, sa ilang taong pag-operate ng kumpanya ay wala itong sariling sewerage treatment plant (STP).
Sa ilalim ng Clean Water Act of 2004 ay obligado ang isang establisyimento na magkaroon ng sariling STP para masigurong ang kanilang wastewater ay nasasala muna at sumasailalim sa treatment bago ang pagtatapon.
