Pilipinas nagpatupad ng deployment ban sa South Sudan

Nagpatupad ng total ban sa deployment ng mga Filipino workers ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa South Sudan.

Sa advisory ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III araw ng Lunes, sinabing ang deployment ban ay dahil sa tumitinding karahasan sa naturang African country.

Dahil sa ban, hindi na magproproseso pa ng mga aplikasyon para sa mga Pinoy na nais magtrabaho sa South Sudan.

“In a resolution, the governing board of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) decided to impose a total ban on the processing and deployment of all OFWs bound for South Sudan, until further notice,” ani Bello.

Nagtaas ng alert level 4 ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa South Sudan.

Sa ilalim ng naturang alerto, magiging sapilitan ang pagpapauwi sa mga Filipino workers na naroon.

Batay sa datos ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) may halos 300 OFW na nagtatrabaho sa South Sudan, na ikawalong pinakamahirap na bansa sa mundo.
