Duterte idinepensa ang ‘war on drugs’ sa forum sa Russia
Nanindigan si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na paraan ng paglaban sa kriminalidad ang kampanya ng kanyang gobyerno kontra sa iligal na droga.
Sa harap ng forum na Valdai Discussion Club sa Sochi, Russia araw ng Huwebes, ipinagtanggol ng pangulo ang drug war ng kanyang administrasyon.
Sinabi ni Duterte sa mga high-profile na mga pulitiko at eksperto na nais lamang niyang protektahan ang bansa laban sa mga nais na ito ay sirain.
“We only seek to curb criminality that corrodes the very structure of government… Is this not something all nations are entitled to,” ani Duterte.
Kasabay nito ay muling binatikos ng pangulo ang kanyang mga kritiko.
Ayon kay Duterte, ang mga tutol sa drug war ay “misguided and self-serving crusaders.”
Dagdag ng pangulo, ilang sektor na nagsasabing kaibigan nila ang Pilipinas ay hindi talaga alam ang mga problema ng bansa.
“Some so-called friends act like they know our problems, impervious to our specific socio-economic and political conditions. They create rules and norms for almost everyone,” pahayag ng pangulo.
