Duterte sa planong US travel ban: “Hilaw pa ‘yan”

Minaliit ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang panukalang ban ng komite ng Senado sa Estados Unidos laban sa mga opisyal ng Pilipinas na nasa likod ng pagpapakulong kay Senator Leila de Lima.

Sa kanyang pre-departure speech bago pumunta sa Russia Martes ng gabi, sinabi ng pangulo na hilaw pa ang travel ban na isinulong ng 2 miyembro ng US Senate laban sa umanoy maling pagpapakulong sa senadora.

Puna ni Duterte, panukala pa lamang ang nais ng dalawang senador sa Amerika at hindi pa inaaksyunan ng buong Kongreso ng US.

“Hilaw pa ‘yan (It’s still raw). When it becomes ripe and then I will say my piece. These are just voices of the members of the committee and if that committee will report the resolution to the plenary and the plenary adopted or joined them, then that would be an act of Congress,” ani Duterte.

Sa tanong naman kung bukas ba siya na i-ban o ipagbawal din ang pagpasok sa Pilipinas ng mga US Senators na nagsulong ng travel ban, sinabi ng pangulo na wala pa namang nangyayari.

Pero sakali anyang i-adopt ng US Senate ang panukala at maging aksyon na ito ng buong Kongreso ng Amerika, saka umano kakausapin ng pangulo si US President Donald Trump.
