Foreign universities pwede nang magkaroon ng branch sa Pilipinas

Maari nang makapagtayo ng branch campuses ang mga foreign universities sa bansa.

Base sa Republic Act 11448 o Transnational Higher Education Act na nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, pangangasiwaan ng Commission on Higher Eduation (CHED) ang mga foreign universities at susunod sa labor code ng Pilipinas.

Nakasaad din sa batas na dapat ang curriculum ay nakaagapay sa kasalukuyang global development, trends and values.

Kinakailangan din ng mga foreign universities ng local partner kung saan dapat ay 60 percent ang pag-aari ng mga Filipino at naka rehistro sa Securities and Exchange Commission o Department of Trade and Industry.

Noong August 28 nang lagdaan ni Pangulong Duterte ang bagong batas at magiging epektibo labing limang araw matapos mailathala sa official gazette at mga malalaking pahayagan sa bansa.
