Duterte “no show” AFP change of command ceremony

Masama ang pakiramdam ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kung kaya hindi nakadalo sa change of command ceremony ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na ginaganap kaninang hapon sa Camp Aguinaldo sa Quezon City.

Ayon kay presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, ang punishing schedule ang dahilan kung kaya naapektuhan ng bahagya  ang body temperature ng pangulo.

Hindi naman direktang tinukoy ni Panelo kung may lagnat ang pangulo.

Dagdag ni Panelo, nagpasya na lamang ang pangulo na magpahinga para agad na makarekober.

Bukod sa matinding schedule sinabi ni Panelo na kaya sumama rin ang pakiramdam ng pangulo dahil sa dinaluhang social events kagabi.

Matatandaang sa press briefing kanina sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Panelo na dumalo sa kanyang surprise birthday party si Pangulong Duterte sa Bonifacio Global City sa Taguig City.

Ayon kay Panelo, naging masaya ang kanyang birthday party kagabi at nag enjoy ng todo ang pangulo.

Samantala, Si Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana ang naging kinatawan ng pangulo kanina sa turn-over ceremony sa bagong AFP Chief of Staff.

Pamumunuan ni Lt. Gen. Noel Clement ang militar hanggang January 5, 2020 kung kailan maabot niya ang mandatory age of retirement na 56.

Pinalitan ni Clement si Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr. na kanyang kaklase sa Philippine Military Academy “Sandiwa” Class of 1985.

Si Clement ang ika-52 pinuno ng Armed Forces of the Philippines.
