Our Lady of Lourdes sa Quezon City gagawaran ng canonical coronation
Inaprubahan ni Pope Francis ang canonical coronation ng imahen ng Our Lady of Lourdes sa National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes sa Quezon City.
Ayon sa Order of Friars Minor Capuchin sa Pilipinas, ipinaabot ni Cubao Bishop Honesto Ongtioco kay Br. Eugenio Jaunilo P. Lopez, OFM, ang paggawad ng koronasyong kanonikal sa imahen ng mahal na birhen.
Ang Canonical o Pontifical Coronation, ang pinakamataas na pagkilala na iginagawad ng Santo Papa sa isang imahen ng Birheng Maria.
Ibinibigay ito dahil sa sidhi ng debosyon ng mga mananampalataya.
Ang Our Lady of Lourdes sa Quezon City ay ang ika-43 na imahen ng Birheng Maria na gagawaran ng canonical coronation sa Pilipinas.
Hihilera na sa ito sa mga ‘coronada’ tulad ng La Naval de Manila, Birhen ng Peñafrancia o Ina ng Bicolandia, Birhen ng Aranzazu ng San Mateo at iba pa.
