‘Liwayway’ lumakas bilang isang Typhoon; Signal No. 1 nakataas pa rin sa Batanes

Lalo pang lumakas ang dating Severe Tropical Storm Liwayway at nasa kategorya na ito ng isang Typhoon ayon sa Pagasa.

Sa Severe Weather Bulletin No. 9 na inilabas alas 11:00 Martes ng gabi, huling namataan ang Typhoon Liwayway 265 kilometers East Northeast ng Basco, Batanes.

Taglay nito ang lakas ng hangin na 120 kilometers at bugsong 150 kilometers per hour.

Tinatahak ng bagyo ang direksyong North Northeast sa bilis na 10 kilometers per hour.

Ayon sa Pagasa, nananatiling nakataas ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 sa Batanes.

Hanggang Miyerkules ng gabi, magdudulot ito ng katamtaman hanggang malakas na ulan sa Batanes at Babuyan Islands.

Patuloy namang magpapa-ulan ang Habagat sa Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Rehion, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Metro Manila, hilagang bahagi ng Palawan kabilang ang Calamian Islands at Mindoro Provinces.

Hindi pa rin inaasahang magla-landfall ang Typhoon Liwayway.

Tinatayang lalabas ito ng Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) sa Huwebes ng hapon o gabi.

Nagbabala rin ang Pagasa ng mapanganib na paglalayag sa seaboards ng Luzon dahil sa masungit na panahon.
