Bucor Chief Faeldon at iba pang opisyal ng ahensya hindi sisibakin ni Pangulong Duterte

Hindi sisibakin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Bureau of Corrections (Bucor) chief Nicanor Faeldon at iba pang opisyal.

Ito ay kahit na lumalakas ang panawagan ng mga mambabatas at publiko na sibakin o magbitiw na sa pwesto si Faeldon dahil sa kontrobersiya sa muntik nang paglaya ni convicted murderer at rapist na si Antonio Sanchez, paglaya ng mga pumatay sa magkapatid na Marijoy and Jacqueline Chiong, at halos dalawang libong bilanggo na may mga karumal-dumal na kaso.

Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, status quo muna ngayon si Faledon at iba lang opisyal ng Bucor hangga’t hindi natatapos ang ginagawang congressional hearing.

“As regards the officials in the Bureau of Corrections, the President will maintain the status quo until the congressional hearings are concluded,” ayon kay Panelo.

Ayon kay Panelo, mahigpit na minomonitor ng pangulo ang pagdinig ng kongreso at ikukunsidera ang resulta ng imbestigasyon.

“He will be monitoring the conduct of the legislative investigation and give appropriate consideration to the findings of Congress,” ayon pa kay Panelo.

Itutuloy ngayong umaga ng Senate blue ribbon committee ang imbestigasyon sa Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) law kung saan ipatatawag ang mga opisyal ng Bucor, Department of Justice (DoJ) at iba pa.
