Gilas Pilipinas nilampaso ng Team Italy sa group phase ng 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup

Natalo ang Gilas Pilipinas sa score na 62-108, matapos ang ginawang group phase ng 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup sa China, bandang alas-7:30, Sabado ng gabi, Aug. 31.

Sa unang quarter pa lang ng laro ay nilampaso na ang Gilas Pilipinas, kung saan naging mainit ang 3-point shooting ng team Italy.

Mula dito, hindi na nakabawi at na depensahan ng Gilas ang kanilang score kaya nagtuloy-tuloy ito hanggang sa last quarter dahilan para durugin sila ng koponan mula sa Italy.

Samantala, para makapasok sa second round ang koponan ng Pilipinas, kailangan talunin nila ang ang malakas at heavy favorites na Serbian team, at ang koponan ng Angola.

Una nang sinabi ni Gilas Pilipinas head coach Yeng Guiao na ang Italy game ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat ng kanilang mga laro sa torneyo.

Aminado si Guiao, napakalabo na ang tsansa na makausad pa sila sa susunod na round ng 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
