Pag-aalis sa mandatory contribution ng PCSO sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, isusulong sa Kamara

Isusulong ni Negros Oriental Rep. Arnulfo Teves na huwag ng obligahin ang Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) na magbigay ng kontribusyon sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno.

Sa pagdinig sa Kamara, sinabi ni Teves na mayroon namang kanya-kanyang pondo na ang mga government agency.

Pabor naman dito si PCSO General Manager Royina Garma.

Sinabi ni Garma na magiging praktikal kung aalisin na ang kontribusyon para marami silang matutulungang benepisiyaryo.

Mas mapagtutuunan rin aniya nila ng pansin ang medical assistance lalo na ang sakop ng Universal Health Care Law.

Mula 1998 hanggang June 2019 ay umabot sa P13.92 bilyon ang nai-remit ng PCSO sa ilang ahensya ng pamahalaan tulad ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Dangerous Drugs Board, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC).
