SC, naglabas ng amended TRO sa ruling sa DQ kay Sen. Grace Poe

supreme-courtNag isyu ang Korte Suprema ngayong araw ng ‘amended temporary restraining order’ o TRO laban sa ruling ng Commission on Elections o Comelec na idiskwalipika si Senadora Grace Poe sa pagtakbo sa May 2016 Presidential polls.

Sa revised TRO, nakasaad na maliban sa Comelec, inaatasan ng Supreme Court ang apat na private respondents, na nagsampa ng disqualification case laban kay Poe, na maghain din ng kani-kanilang komento.

Ang binabanggit na respondents ay sina dating Senador Kit Tatad, dating Government Service Insurance System legal counsel Atty. Estrella Elamparo, dating University of the East o UE College of Law Dean Amado Valdez at La Salle Professor Antonio Contreras.

Binibigyan ng Kataastaasang Hukuman ang apat ng sampung araw, mula sa araw ng notice, na isumite ang komento nila.

Kahapon (December 28), naglabas ang Korte Suprema ng TRO kaugnay sa dalawang magkahiwalay na petisyon na inihain ni Poe laban sa desisyon ng Comelec na i-disqualify siya na maging Presidential candidate sa halalan, dahil sa kanyang residency at citizenship issues.
