Dating VP Jejomar Binay nagsampa ng electoral protest
Naghain si dating Vice President Jejomar Binay ng election protest laban kay Makati Rep. Kid Peña ukol sa resulta ng 2019 midterm elections.
Sa pitumpung-pahinang electoral protest, hiniling ni Binay sa House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET) na magsagawa ng manual recount ng mga balota sa 235 clustered precincts sa Makati City.
Nakapaloob sa electoral protest na nasa 9,060 boto ang umano’y ‘disenfranchised’ para maging ‘misread votes.’
Nakasaad din na layon nitong ilabas ang katotohanan para sa mga residente ng lungsod ng Makati.
Iginiit pa nito na madedetermina ang mahahalal na lider batay sa dami ng ibibigay na boto ng taumbayan at hindi sa dami ng aberya ng vote counting machines (VCMs).
Nanalo si Peña kay Binay nang anim na libong boto.
Wala pa namang inilalabas na pahayag si Peña sa inihaing election protest ni Biñay.
