Jordan Clarkson kasama sa Gilas pool na sasabak sa 2019 FIBA World Cup

Sa nalalabing 50 araw bago ang FIBA World Cup, isinama ni Gilas Pilipinas head coach Yeng Guiao si Filipino-American player Jordan Clarkson sa line-up ng national baskeball team.

Inanusyo ito ni Guiao matapos ang practice ng Gilas sa Meralco Gym sa Pasig City araw ng Lunes.

Bukod kay Clarkson, kasama sa Gilas pool ang nagbabalik na si Kiefer Ravena matapos ang suspensyon nito noong March 2018 dahil nagpositibo ito sa ipinagbabawal na substance gayundin sina PBA five-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo, PBD Draft 2019 top pics CJ Perez at Robert Bolick at ang naturalized player na si Andray Blatche.

Noong 2018 Asian Games ay bahagi na ng Gilas si Clarkson kung saan nagtapos ito sa ika-limang pwesto.

Ang naturang Cleveland Cavaliers guard ang naging flag bearer ng delegasyon ng Pilipinas sa opening ceremonies ng naturang tournament.

Magsisimula ang FIBA World Cup sa August 31 sa China.

Ka-grupo ng Pilipinas ang basketball powerhouse na Serbia kasama ang Angola at Italy.
