Shortlist para sa papalit na associate justice sa SC, inilabas na ng JBC

Inilabas na ng Judicial ang Bar Council (JBC) ang listahan ng mga pangalan na papalit kay Supreme Court Associate Justice Mariano Del Castillo.

Ito ay dahil maaabot na ni Del Castillo ang mandatory retirement age sa July 29.

Kabilang sa shortlist ang apat na Court of Appeals Associate Justice na sina:
– Apolinario Bruselas Jr.
– Japar Dimaampao
– Jhosep Lopez
– Rodil Zalameda

Kasama rin sa listahan sina Court of Tax Appeals Presiding Justice Ramon Del Rosario Garcia at Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez.

Isusumite ang shortlist kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para pumili ng kaniyang ika-10 appointee sa Korte Suprema.

Inaasahan namang magtatalaga si Duterte ng panibagong Punong Mahistrado at tatlo pang Associate Justice bago matapos ang taong 2019.
