Posibleng ang Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) ang nasa likod resolusyon sa United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) na

magsagawa ng imbestigasyon sa sitwasyon ng karapatang pantao sa bansa, ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP).

Ayon kay PNP chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde, posible ito dahil parte ito ng propaganda ng CPP na tutol sa administrasyong Duterte.

Mayroon din aniyang mga ‘contact’ at koneksyon ang komunistang grupo para maimpluwensiya ang UN sa pagsasagawa ng hakbang.

Sinabi ng PNP chief na hindi aabot ang CPP sa kanilang 50th founding anniversary nang walang sumusuporta sa kanilang underground movement.
