Pagbebenta ng $2.2B na halaga ng mga armas sa Taiwan, inaprubahan ng US State Department

Inaprubahan ng US State Department ang posibleng pagbebenta sa Taiwan ng $2.2 billion na halaga ng mga armas.

Kabilang dito ang nasa 108 Abrams tanks at 250 Stinger missiles ayon sa Pentagon.

Kontrobersyal ang nasabing pasya ng US State Department dahil maari itong ikagalit ng Beijing.

Nitong unang bahagi kasi ng buwan, nagpahayag na ng pagtutol ang Beijing sa naturang arms deal.

Ayon sa Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), nasabihan na ang Kongreso hinggil sa posibleng arms deal at mayroong 30 araw ang US lawmakers para tutulan ang pagbebenta.

Sa pahayag sinabi ni Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang, na dapat maunawaan ng US kung gaanong kasensitibo ang kanilang pasyang magbenta ng armas sa Taiwan at dapat sumunod ito sa China principle.
