CHR, iimbestigahan ang Lumad human trafficking sa Pangasinan

Magsasagawa ng sariling imbestigasyon ang Commission on Human Rights(CHR) kaugnay sa umano’y human trafficking sa mga katutubong Lumad mula Mindanao papuntang Pangasinan.

Ayon kay CHR spokesperson Jacquline de Guia, may 34 Lumad ang nakatakas sa Sual, Pangasinan kung saan sapilitang pinagtrabaho ang mga ito sa isang fish pen nang walang sweldo.

Mayroon naman 28 na mga Lumad ang nakatakas sa kanilang pinagtatrabahuan at agad nagtungo sa opisina ng komisyon.

Ang CHR, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD),Civil Society Organizations, at National Commission on Indigenous People ay nag-alok ng tulong pinansyal sa mga katutubo upang makabalik sa kanilang lugar.

Maliban dito, may 17 Lumad pa ang nasagip ang komisyon kasama ang Sual Municipal Police Station, the Social Welfare and Development Office ng Pangasinan.

May binabantayan naman ng fish pen ang CHR sa Rosario, La Union kung saan mayroon umanong 10 pang Lumad na nakatakas.
