Quezon City Mayor Belmonte at Vice Mayor Sotto, nanumpa na

Nanumpa na bilang ikalabing isang alkalde ng Quezon City si Mayor-elect Joy Belmonte, alas-12:00, Linggo ng tanghali, June 30 sa ABS-CBN Tent, Vertis North.

Kasabay na nanumpa ni Belmonte si Vice mayor-elect Gian Sotto, Congressmen at City Councilors ng lungsod.

Si Mayor Belmonte ang ikalawang babaeng uupo bilang Mayor ng Quezon City.

Siya ay anak ni Quezon City 4th District Reprsentative Feliciano C. Belmonte Jr.

Si Belmonte ay kilala sa kanyang adbokasiya para sa pagbabago, transparency, anti-corruption at women empowerment.

Ang unang babaeng mayor ay si Adelina Rodriguez na nagsilbing mayor ng lungsod ng Quezon mula 1976 hanggang 1986

Samantala, si vice mayor-elect Sotto ay anak naman ni Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III.
