NAIA, ipapa-takeover ni Pangulong Duterte sa Air Force kapag hindi pa naayos ang problema
Nagbanta si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ipapa-takeover sa Philippine Air Force ang pamamahala sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Ito ay kung hindi pa rin mareresolba ang problema sa delayed at cancelled flights sa NAIA.
Sa talumpati ng pangulo sa 122nd anniversary ng Presidential Security Group (PSG) sa Malakanyang, sinabi ng pangulo na kapag hindi pa umayos ang sitwasyon at security sa NAIA, ang PAF na ang mamamahala sa paliparan.
Ipinapangbala ni Pangulong Duterte ang idineklarang national emergency noong 2016.
Dagdag ng pangulo, hindi siya mag-aatubiling gamiting uli ito kapag hindi pa naresolba ang problema sa NAIA.
“At nag-warning lang ako na if that NAIA is not — the security is not improved there — I will order the Air Force to take over. Kasi you must remember I declared a national emergency when I started as president. And I would invoke it,” pahayag ni Duterte.
Matatandaang kamakailan lamang, nagsagawa ng surprise inspection si Pangulong Duterte sa NAIA at nadismaya sa dami ng mga cancelled at delayed flights dahil sa congestion.
