Dalawang whistleblowers sa ‘ghost dialysis’ controversy isinailalim na sa provisional witness protection program

Kinumpirma ni Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra na tanggap na sa provisional witness protection program (WPP) ng Department of Justice (DoJ) ang dalawang whistle blower sa ghost dialysis patient scam ng WellMed Dialysis Center.

Ang dating assistant branch manager ng WellMed na si Edwin Roberto at Philhealth officer Leizel Aileen de Leon ay nagsumite ng kanilang aplikasyon para sa WPP noong nakaraang linggo.

Mananatili sa WPP ang dalawa sa loob ng 90 araw o tatlong buwan habang hinihintay ang preliminary investigation sa pitong iba pang personnel ng WellMed.

Si Roberto at De Leon ay sinampahan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ng reklamong estafa through falsification of official documents dahil sa mga sinasabing pekeng dialysis claims sa Philhealth.

Kasama rin sa kinasuhan isa sa may ari ng WellMed na si Brian Sy.
