Water level sa Angat Dam posibleng sumadsad sa pinakamababang antas ngayong linggo

Inaasahang sa Hulyo pa magkakaroon ng pagtaas sa lebel ng tubig sa Angat Dam dahil sa inaasahang near-normal rainfall condition ngayong buwan.

Sa isang pahayag araw ng Lunes, sinabi ni National Water Resources Board (NWRB) executive director Sevillo David Jr. na tuloy ang pagpapatupad ng 36 cubic meter per second na alokasyon ng tubig sa Metro Manila hanggang sa katapusan ng buwan.

Posible kasi anya na kung hindi magbabago ang rainfall conditions ay maaabot na ng Angat Dam ang lowest water level nito sa kasaysayan ngayong linggo.

“So if there will be no improvement in the rainfall conditions in Angat in the next couple of days, then we might exceed record low by the end of this week,” ani David.

Ang pinakamababang antas ng tubig sa dam ay 157.57 meters taong 2010.

Hanggang araw ng Lunes, nasa 159.09 meters na alang ang lebel ng tubig sa Angat.

Nagpapatupad na ng service interruptions ang dalawang water concessionaires ng Metro Manila dahil sa pagbaba ng tubig sa dam.
