Restored 19th Century ship lumubog sa Germany

Lumubog ang isang 19th century ship sa Germany na kakatapos lamang isailalim sa napakamahal na restoration process.

Ang 136-year-old wooden ‘No 5 Elbe’ ay may sakay na 43 katao nang lumubog sa Elbe River noong Sabado.

Bumangga ito sa isang container vessel na ‘Astro Sprinter’ mula Cyprus.

Agad nailigtas ng rescue boats ang lahat ng pasahero ng barko ngunit limang katao ang naitalang nagtamo ng injury.

Ayon kay fire service official Wilfried Sprekels, kung wala ang kanilang pwersa sa bisinidad ay posibleng may mga nasawi sa insidente.

May nirespondehang minor incident ang grupo ni Sprekels nang mangyari ang paglubog ng wooden ship.

Samantala, pinangangambahan ang oil spill dahil may kargang toneladang langis ang wooden ship.

Naglagay na ng oil barriers ang emergency services.

Noong Mayo lamang naibalik sa Hamburg ang No 5 Elbe makaraan ang €1.5 million na restoration process sa Denmark.
