Ex-Ombudsman Conchita Morales, pinatulungan ng Palasyo sa DFA

Inatasan na ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang si Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Ernesto Abella na bigyan ng tulong si dating Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales at ang kaniyang pamilya matapos harangin sa Hong Kong.

Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, si abella ang naatasan ng Palasyo dahil nasa Myanmar ngayon si Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro “Teddy” Locsin Jr.

Base sa pakikipag-ugnayan ni Panelo kay Abella, sinabi ng opisyal na tinutugunan na at binibigyan na ng tulong ng DFA si Morales.

“I already called up Usec. Abella as Sec. Locsin is in Myanmar, and requested him to give assistance to former Ombudsman Morales and her family. He already replied and said they are already on it,” pahayag ni Panelo.

Patungong Hong Kong si Morales kasama ang kaniyang pamilya para magbakasyon subalit hinarang ng mga awtoridad dahil sa security risk.

Matatandaang naghain ng reklamong crimes against humanity si Morales at dating Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario laban kay Chinese president Xi Jinping sa International Criminal Court (ICC) sa The Hague dahil sa harassment na ginawa ng China sa mga Filipinibng mangingisda sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

“Yes. We will render assistance to every Filipino in need of assistance abroad regardless of their political persuasion,” ayon pa kay Panelo.
