Ligtas na nakauwi ng Pilipinas ang tatlong Filipino engineers na 10 buwang hinostage sa Libya.

Ang tatlong Pinoy ay sinalubong ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. sa kanilang pagdating sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 sa Pasay City araw ng Sabados.

Sa mga larawan na inilabas ng Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), makikita ang mga Pinoy na emosyunal na sinalubong ng kani-kanilang mga pamilya.

Kasama ng mga ito sa pag-uwi sa bansa si Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hjayceelyn Quintana.

“We are glad that we are able to bring them home alive and safe to their families. These Filipinos coming home to their families are living proof that the [DFA] will never leave a Filipino in danger behind,” pahayag ni Locsin.

Ang tatlong Pinoy kasama ang isang South Korean national ay hinostage ng hindi pa kilalang armadong grupo sa Libya noong July 2018.

Ang kanilang paglaya ay sa tulong ng UAE na nakipag-ugnayan sa Libyan National Army.
