Sen. Grace Poe, diniskwalipika ng COMELEC first division

Diniskwalipika ng COMELEC first division si Sen. Grace Poe sa pagtakbo bilang pangulo sa 2016 elections matapos kanselahin ang certificate of candidacy nito sa botong 2-1.

Ayon sa abogado ni Poe na si Atty. George Garcia, ang mga bumoto anya pabor sa mga petisyon laban sa senadora ay sina Commissioners Rowena Guanzon at Guie Guia.

Tanging si Commissioner Christian Lim ang nag-iisang nag-dissent.

May kaugnayan ang pagkansela sa COC ni Poe sa mga disqualification cases laban sa senadora dahil mga isyu ng citizenship at residency.

Nag-ugat ito sa mga petisyon nina dating Senador Francisco Tatad, De La Salle Univerisity Professor Antonio Contreras at University of the East College of law dean Amado Valdez.

Dagdag ng abogado, natanggap nila ang desisyon ng poll body biyernes ng umaga.

Pero sinabi ni Garcia na hindi pa final at executory ang desisyon ng COMELEC first division at maghahain sila ng motion for reconsideration.

Una nang kinansela ng COMELEC second division ang COC ni Poe. Bunsod naman ito ng petisyon ni Atty. Estrella Elamparo dahil sa kabiguan umano ng senadora na ma-meet ang 10-year residency requirement.
