Women groups humirit ng apology kay Duterte matapos ang pahayag sa babaeng mayor
Hiniling ng women advocates kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na humingi ito ng paumanhin dahil sa umanoy pambabastos kay Garcia-Hernandez, Bohol Mayor Tita Baja-Gallantes.
Ayon kay Akbayan Party-list nominee Doris Dimorog-Obena, dapat itigil na ng Pangulo ang pag-atake sa mga kababaihan.
“Mr. President, stop attacking women. After days of just resting in Davao, you’d have more time to think of respectful ways to address the mayor,” ani Dimorog-Obena.
Dapat anyang mag-apologize ang Pangulo kay Mayor Baja-Gallantes at sa lahat ng Pilipina.
“The President should apologize to the mayor and to all Filipino women after his attacks. He should say sorry for his vile words for Mayor Baja-Gallantes. Bol-anons don’t deserve to be humiliated,” dagdag nito.
Nais din ng grupo na humingi ng paumanhin ang Pangulo dahil sa walang basehan na pagdawit kina Olympian medalist Hidilyn Diaz at TV host Gretchen Ho sa “oust matrix.”
“The President has so much work to do for women, instead of attacking us. He can start with telling us about the Safe Spaces Act against sexual harassment. Has he signed it to law yet? It has been on his desk for quite a while now,” dagdag ng mambabatas.
Samantala, sinabi ng Gabriela na dapat ay wala sa gobyerno ang kaalyado ng Pangulo na walang pakialam tuwing minamaliit at binabastos nito ang mga babae.
Matatandaan na sa kanyang kampanya sa Bohol ay sinabihan ng Pangulo ang isang alkalde na maganda ito.
“You are truly beautiful. If it were me, why would I ever break up with you? I will really grab and hold on to your panty if you try to leave, even until the garter snaps. You’re just too beautiful,” ani Duterte.
Sinabi pa ng Pangulo na nasa Bohol siya para maglaro ng “game of love.”
