Acosta, Erfe kinasuhan ng graft kaugnay ng Dengvaxia
Nahaharap sina Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) chief Persida Acosta at PAO Forensic Laboratory chief Dr. Erwin Erfe sa kasong graft at misuse of public office and public funds kaugnay ng kontrobersyal Dengvaxia.
Sa 20 pahinang reklamo na inihain sa Office of the Ombudsman, sinabi ni Atty. Wilfredo Garrido na nilabag nina Acosta at Erfe ang Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act; falsification of public documents, malversation of public funds at illegal use of public funds or property.
“Acosta and her sidekick Erfe have fanned public anger, even creating hysteria, by painting the deaths as the result of a nefarious scheme to inject hundreds of thousands of children with an untested, experimental, ineffective and dangerous vaccine called Dengvaxia,” nakasaad sa reklamo.
Ayon kay Garrido, pinalaki nina Acosta at Erfe ang galit ng publiko sa Dengvaxia dahil pinalabas nila na ito ang dahilan ng pagkamatay ng mga naturukan ng bakuna na karamihan ay mga bata.
Nakasaad din sa reklamo na ang pagkabuo ng PAO Forensic Laboratory ay walang mandato mula sa Kongreso at hindi prescribed sa Administrative Code at PAO Law.
Binanggit din ng abogado ang kaso kung saan sinertipika ni Erfe ang resulta ng autopsy sa 13 anyos na batang babae na namatay noong January 2018 matapos maturukan ng Dengvaxia.
Wala pa namang pahayag o reaksyon mula sa kampo ng dalawa kaugnay ng reklamong kanilang kinakaharap.
