Puerto Princesa City nasa state of calamity dahil sa water crisis

Isinailalim sa state of calamity ang Puerto Princesa City sa Palawan dahil sa epekto ng problema sa supply ng tubig.

Ayon sa Puerto Princesa City Water District (PPCWD), mula 40,000 cubic meters per day na demand ng tubig, bumaba sa mahigit 30,837 cubic meters kada araw ang kanila na lamang nasu-supply.

Dalawamput-isa sa 66 na barangay sa syudad ay halos walang supply ng tubig.

Ang rekomendasyon ng water district ang pinagbasehan ng lokal na pamahalaan sa deklarasyon ng state of calamity.

Samantala, ikinasa na ng City Agriculture ang rapid damage assessment at analysis report at nabatid na 108 ektarya ng lupain ang apektado ng tagtuyot.

Inaasahan naman na makakatulong ang cloud seeding sa dagdag supply ng tubig sa Campo Uno Dam na water source ng Puerto Princesa.
