Larong Pinoy, Sports Heroes’ Day isasama sa 62nd Palarong Pambansa

May bagong pakulo ang Department of Education (DepEd) para sa 62nd Palarong Pambansa sa Davao City.

Ayon kay Education secretary Leonor Briones, isasama kasi sa Palarong Pambansa ang Larong Pinoy at Sports Heroes’ Day.

Sa ilalim ng Larong Pinoy, nakapaloob ang indigenous games gaya ng Kadang Kadang, Patintero, Hilahang lubid, Karera ng Sako at iba pa.

Ayon kay Briones, layunin ng Larong Pinoy na maibalik ang mga sinaunang laro ng mga kabataan at mapaigting ang pagkakaibigan.

Sa ilalim naman ng Sports Heroes’ Day, bibigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga atleta na makasalamuha ang mga kilalang Filipino icons.
