PNP suportado ang pagpapasuspinde ni Duterte sa ‘Doble Plaka’ law

Nagpahayag ng suporta ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa nais ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na pagsuspinde sa Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act o mas kilala bilang Doble Plaka law.

Sa isang pahayag araw ng Lunes, sinabi ni PNP Spokesperson Police Col. Bernard Banac, tama lang na marinig muna ang hinaing ng mga apektadong sektor bago ipatupad ang doble plaka law.

“The PNP supports the decision of the President to hear the concerns raised by the affected sectors of the ‘doble plaka’ law to strengthen its provisions for even effective enforcement,” ani Banac.

Sa kabila naman ng posibleng suspensyon ng batas, sinabi ni Banac na patuloy ang magiging kampanya ng PNP laban sa mga motorcycle-riding suspects at iba pang lumalabag sa traffic laws.

Layon ng Doble Plaka law ang paglalagay ng mas malalaking plaka sa likod at harap ng mga motorsiklo na pinaniniwalang makatutulong sa pagsawata sa motorcycle-riding suspects.

Sinabi naman ni Banac na handa ang PNP na ipatupad ang batas anumang oras na ilabas ang implementing rules and regulations nito (IRR).
