DFA: USA, mananatiling kaisa-isang military ally ng Pilipinas

Mananatili ang Estados Unidos bilang kaisa-isang military ally ng Pilipinas ayon kay Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin.

Sa isang tweet araw ng Linggo, sinabi ng opisyal na ang US bilang natatanging world power na tagapagtanggol ng demokrasya at karapatang pantao ay mananatiling military ally ng Pilipinas.

Hindi anya kailangan ng Pilipinas ng iba pang kakampi sa usapin ng sandatahang lakas.

“Why the US, the only world power that is a bastion of democracy and human rights, is and will remain our only military ally. We don’t need any other,” ani Locsion.

Ang Pilipinas at US ay halos pitong dekada nang nasa ilalim ng Mutual Defense Treaty (MDT).

Sa ilalim ng kasunduan, magtutulungan ang dalawang bansa sakaling may kaso ng pag-atake.

Ang pahayag ng kalihim ng DFA ay sa gitna ng lumalakas na impluwensya ng China sa bansa sa ilalim ng administrasyong Duterte.
