Mga Pinoy dapat limitahan ang galaw sa WPS ayon sa China
Sinabi ni Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jinhua na malayang makapangisda sa West Philippine Sea partikular na malapit sa mga pinag-aagawang mga isla ang mga Pinoy.
Pero kanya ring sinabi na dapat ay alam ng mga Pinoy ang kanilang limitasyon sa lugar.
Reaksyon ito ng Chinese official kaugnayu sa ulat ng pangha-harass ng ilang mangisngisdang Chinese sa mga Pinoy.
“I think we are concerned about the livelihood of fishermen from both sides. And if they think they can fish in the areas where they catch fish, they can go,” pahayag ni Zhao sa media interview sa Malacañang.
Sinabi pa ni Zhao na dapat sumunod sa nasabing mga limitasyon ang lahat ng claimant-countries kabilang na ang China.
Dagdag pa ng Chinese official, “For example, Chinese fishing vessels getting too close to the Chung-yeh island (Pag-Asa Island), there might be some concerns on your side, but if fishermen getting too close to the islands that we have people, there might be concerns. But in general, fishing can go on as usual.”
Kaninang umaga ay sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na naghain ng panibagong diplomatic protest ang bansa laban sa China dahil sa paglapit ng ilang Chinese fishermen sa Kalayaan Island.
Ngayong hapon naman ay nakatakdang magpulong sila Zhao at Panelo sa isyu.
