Rep. Crisologo eyes replanning in QCMC

Replanning with a new vision is needed at the Quezon City Memorial Circle (QCMC).

Quezon City First District Representative Vincent “Bingbong” Crisologo says he wants to build an auditorium in QCMC.

According to Crisologo, despite being a large venue, QCMC is lacking in facilities like an auditorium and an air airconditioned multi-purpose center which can also be used as a basketball court.

“My plan is to build (an) auditorium there, tayo na lang walang auditorium. Airconditioned na multi-purpose na pwedeng basketball court, lahat meron na,” Crisologo said.

Crisologo is running for mayor in Quezon City against Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte and other candidates.

The lawmaker also mentioned that the local government of Quezon City allowed too many establishments at the Quezon City Memorial Circle stressing that such move shows that there was no master plan done.

“It’s a big space ano, kulang lang sa planning. Kasi ang nangyari noon, may maisipan sila tayo rito, may maisipan sila tayo roon. There is no general planning. So I think we should replan the circle,” Crisologo added.

If elected as mayor, Crisologo promised to be fair on the implementation of rental fees in QCMC after some establishments aired their concerns of the collection of high fees.
