Malacañang: Death threats laban sa mga pari posibleng kagagawan ng pranksters at trolls

Naniniwala ang Palasyo ng Malacañang na posibleng kagagawan ng mga ‘pranksters’ o mga anti-Duterte trolls ang mga death threats na natanggap nina Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas at tatlong pari.

Ang pahayag ng Palasyo ay matapos ang rebelasyon nina Fathers Flavie Villanueva, Robert Reyes, at Albert Alejo na nakatatanggap sila ng banta sa buhay.

Sa isang text message, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na maaaring ang death threats ng pranksters at trolls ay layong ilagay sa ‘bad light’ si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Maaari rin anyang galing ang mga ito sa personal na kaaway ng mga pari.

Ani Panelo, ang pagpapadala ng death threats sa pamamagitan ng text messages ay ang pinakamadaling gawin dahil hindi matutunton ang pinanggalingan nito.

“(It) could be coming from pranksters, or could be from anti-Duterte trolls to put PRRD (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) in bad light or from personal enemies of the priests. Sending threats via text messages is the easiest and convenient thing to do, (because) you can’t trace the source,” ayon kay Panelo.

Matatandaang unang nakatanggap ng death threats si Kalookan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David na binantaang papatayin ni Pangulong Duterte noong November 2018.
