Malacañang di makikialam sa desisyon ng CA sa kaso ng Rappler

Hahayaan na lamang ng Malacañang na gumulong ang batas sa kaso ng online news organization na Rappler.

Pahayag ito ng palasyo matapos katigan ng Court of Appeals ang naunang desisyon ng Securities and Exchange commission na nagre-revoke sa license to operate ng Rappler.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, hindi nakikiaalam ang palasyo sa mga kasong nakasampa na sa korte.

“As we said, any case that has been filed before the courts we will not interfere. We will let the law takes its course,” pagdidiin ng kalihim.

Iginiit din ni Panelo na walang kinalaman sa press freedom ang pasya ng appellate court.

Base sa desisyon ng CA, nilabag ng Rappler ang Saligang Batas partikular na sa foreign equity restrictions in mass media dahil sa pag-aari ng dayuhan ang naturang kumpanya.

Pinayuhan rin niya ang Rappler na huwag ikabit dito ang isyu ng press freedom dahil malayo ito sa katotohanan.
