WATCH: 50 smuggled at endangared reptiles galing Thailand nakumpiska sa NAIA Terminal 2

Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) at Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa NAIA Terminal 2 ang hindi bababa sa 50 reptiles mula sa Bangkok, Thailand.

Ayon kay Atty. Andres Villaruel, ng DENR – NAIA, sakay ng Philippine Airlines Flight PR 737 ang mga kinumpiskang hayop.

Aniya ang mga kinumpiskang hayop ay nasa dalawang bagahe ni Neil Ryan Dysoco.

Paiwanag ni Villaruel walang maipakitang mga dokumento si Dysoco kaya’t kinumpiska na nila ang mga chameleons, bearded dragons at iguanas.

Itinatanggi ‘di umano ni Dysoco na may nalalaman siya sa mga nakumpiskang hayop, na mula P25,000 hanggang P45,000 ang bentahan sa black market.

Maaring kasuhan si Dysoco ng paglabag sa Wildlife Resources Conversation and Protection Act.
