Cancer Control Act isa nang ganap na batas ayon sa Malacañang
Pirmado na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Cancer Control Act.
Layunin ng nasabing batas na bumalangkas ng mga alituntunin para maipatupad ng pamahalaan ang isang malawakang kampanya laban sa sakit na cancer.
Ang Republic Act 11215 o National Integrated Cancer Control Act ay nilagdaan ng pangulo noong February 14, 2018 ayon sa pahayag ng Malacañang ngayong araw.
“The new law “shall adopt an integrated and comprehensive approach to health development which includes the strengthening of integrative, multidisciplinary, patient, and family centered cancer control policies, programs, systems, interventions and services at all levels of the existing health care delivery system,” ayon sa pahayag ng Malacañang.
Nakasaad sa batas ang pagbuo ng National Integrated Cancer Control Program na naglalayong magbigay maayos pero murang cancer medical treatment.
Ayon sa Philippine Cancer Facts and Estimates Report ng Department of Health, umaabot sa walong mga kabataan araw-araw ang namamatay dulot ng childhood cancer samantalang labing-isa naman kada araw ang namamatay dahil sa cancer sa mga mas nakatatanda.
