Pilipinas, nananatiling ligtas sa mga turista – DOT

Tiniyak ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang international community na nananatiling “safe haven” ang Pilipinas para sa mga residente at turista.

Ito ay kaugnay sa inilabas na babala ng US Department of Homeland Security na hindi maayos ang security protocol sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Ayon sa kagawaran, parehong siniguro ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) sa DOT ang kanilang kahandaan para i-assess at aksyunan ang mga banta para matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga turista sa domestic at international trips.

Matatandaang inilabas ang babala ng Homeland Security matapos magsagawa ng assessment ang US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) sa naturang paliparan.

Kaugnay nito, sinabi ni US Ambassador to Manila Sung Kim na umaasa ang mga opisyal ng US transportation security sa agarang pagpapaigting ng aviation security measures sa NAIA.

Siniguro naman ng Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) ang pagtugon sa naturang problema.
