DTI, naglabas ng listahan ng mga maaaring gamiting paputok ngayong holiday season
Kasunod ng holiday season, naglabas ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ng listahan ng mga paputok at firecracker manufacturers na nasertipikahan ng Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS).
Sa abiso ng kagawaran, 19 kumpanya ang aprubado ng BPS hanggang noong December 12, 2018:

3. Double L Fireworks
4. Dragon Fireworks Incorporation
5. Global Lions Fireworks Incorporated
6. Golden Leopard King Fireworks 2. Manufacturer
7. Legendary Fireworks Inc.
8. MADZ Firecrackers and Pyrotechnic-Vista Alegre
9. Mary P Diaresco Pyrotechnics Manufacturing
10. Nation Fireworks
11. Pegasus Fireworks
12. Phoenix Fireworks
13. Platinum Fireworks Inc.
14. Purity Fireworks
15. Pyro Kreations Fireworks
16. R and F Fireworks
17. Tiger Fireworks
18. Wow Fireworks Manufacturing
19. Yangco Fireworks
Dahil dito, hinikayat ng DTI ang publiko na bilhin ang mga brand na may marka ng Philippine Standard (PS) sa packaging nito.
Noong June 2017, inilabas ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang executive order kaugnay sa tamang paggamit ng paputok at iba pang pyrotechnic devices sa bansa.
